NYC Asian man punched and choked in random hate crime attack
In an unprovoked attack in the afternoon of October 4th, an Asian man was assaulted in the New York neighborhood of the Flatiron district. The 40-year-old victim was punched in the face and choked by his attacker. The attacker then hurled xenophobic slurs at the victim; the police are now investigating this as a hate crime.
